I'd Totally Tumble That (If I Ever Got the Chance) -- Kirsten Vangness

Kirsten V. with Shemar Moore. I believe that is David Boreanaz in the background, there.
I don't normally go for blondes, but it is nigh impossible not to totally have a crush on this woman every day for the rest of forever, no matter what color her hair is. Her entire self just rocks the world. How could you not love a woman who describes herself as, "queer as a purple unicorn singing Madonna"? And someone with enough verve to get away with wearing a t-shirt that says, "I <3 Black People" in huge letters to a freaking media conference?

Kirsten plays FBI technical analyst Penelope Garcia on "Criminal Minds" -- you know, that show you should never, ever watch before you fall asleep because it will give you some of the freakiest damn nightmares ever to be had, but which otherwise is quite awesome. Word is she got her acting start in theater, and she still does plays, mostly at the Theater of NOTE in L.A. She also writes short plays, which have been published in the Los Angeles Times. She has won a Golden Betty, as well as a particularly intriguing-sounding award called "The 15 Minutes of Fem"(inism? dom?)

Kirsten as PG blows my mind. I have never watched such an emotionally gripping and well-rounded character. Plus she's hot. And cute. There's a playful-flirting thing going on between her character and Shemar up there (he plays SSA Derek Morgan.) Until this season, I found myself wishing they'd get together. Then I went back and watched all the seasons starting with Season One: Ep. 1 until now, and I gotta say: Derek Morgan is hot (he may get his own post -- the first male!) but he's kind of an asshole. Definite Mommy issues. After that I kinda wished she'd  get together with her Criminal Minds honey, Kevin Lynch, (played by Nicholas Brendon), but he dumped her earlier this season because she wasn't ready to marry him. It was quite sad, actually.

In real life, Kirsten is engaged to actress Melanie Goldstein, and they plan to get married in 2013, "whether it's legal by then or not." I approve. Unless, of course, she would like to marry me.
