I'd Totally Tumble That (If I Ever Had the Chance) Sonja Sohn

It's time for the second installment of ITCubed! :-P

Meet Sonja Sohn, who owes her startling beauty to a mix of South African and Korean heritage. I know her as Detective Samantha Baker on ABC's "Body of Proof." (I watch a lot of crime shows. In fact, I watch little else unless you count medical shows, and "Body of Proof" combines these two elements perfectly.) I hear she also played a character named Kima Greggs in HBO's "The Wire." I might have to start watching that now.

When I first saw her, I couldn't decide if she was ITCubed material or not -- it's certain she's not what most of us would consider "conventionally pretty." But to hell with convention! When have I ever followed convention? Her character on BOP is confident, self-assured, and all about that "take no prisoners" attitude. It's hot. She also carries a gun, just like Mariska Hargitay in SVU, which is also hot. I seem to have a thing for kick-ass ladies with guns. This isn't surprising, considering the way I get the hots for girls who look like guys who are trying really hard to look like girls. It's so cute. Turns me on.

.... Anyhow. Sonja runs a charity in Chicago called "reWired" that seeks to rehabilitate kids who've been involved with the juvenile justice system, and is a big-time political activist. So she has those amazing cheekbones and come-hither-eyes, she carries a gun, and she's passionate about social justice issues. Everything I look for in a dream woman, apparently.

(What is it about women with guns? Is it like that, "men in uniform" thing?)
